"CHAOS BATS LAST" was a reference to the strange "Bay Bridge World Series" baseball game on 17 October 1989, which was between an East Bay team (the Oakland A's) and a "West Bay" team (the San Francisco Giants).

The game had just gotten started when the 7.1 Loma Prieta earthquake hit - which happened approximately 40 minutes after the material on this tape had been completed, along with the rites connected to it.

The portrait is of Demitria Monde Thraam at age 24. The background pictures were taken from a newspaper article about the quake. The roach stands for hardiness against toxicity.
